She passed January, 22,1995 at the age of 24. For anyone who doesn't remember who she was, she was the Pioneer mascot at games. Her last name is spelled Pennisi. I think about her all the time and miss her vivacious laugh and personality. She is truly missed.
Although we didn't hang out in high school we did hang out in elementary. We attended Pinecastle Elementary and in third grade there were three of us in the same classroom with the same first name. It was hard on the teacher (Mrs. Edgington) because Laura and I both had the same last initial (P). The other girl was Lora Golubia (I am sure I butchered the spelling). Laura was caring, kind and very fun to be around.
