Lisa died at the very young age of 31, from lung cancer. It would be important for her to tell you that she was never a smoker, nor was she raised in a home with smokers. Her cancer was a bizarre occurrence, and she called it "winning the reverse lottery". Her life wasn't defined by the cancer in any way. It was a 14 month blip on the radar of a very full, even if too short, well-lived life. She was a very proud pilot; a Captain with Mesaba airlines. More importantly, throughout her life, she was a good friend. To me though, she was my very best friend. We stayed close friends after high school, and having been friends since we were 10, we went through all of life's major events together, and had such fun times together. I know that I will never have another friend as good and true as Lisa. I carry with me always the memory of her laughter and friendship. She was a really good person, and is truly missed.
