Carl was diagnosed with MS on his 32nd birthday. He worked for Travelers Insurance for many years and finally went on disability when the MS made working and mobility too difficult. For the last 4 years, my parents were his loving caretakers. He kept his sense of humor and love of laughter until the end. He was very fond of "Redneck" jokes of all kinds. His daughters relocated to Tuscon AZ several years ago, but they visited him often. His oldest daughter Kelsey is a Freshman at UA and his youngest daughter Charlotte is a Junior in high school. He was a great brother, and he will be waiting for us with a cold one and a great car when we see him again! His obituary is shown below:
Carl Alan Jones passed peacefully on October 27, 2008. Carl's is survived by his parents Ruth and Kenneth Jones, two daughters Kelsey and Charlotte, Oro Valley Az. his paternal grandmother, Mary Jones, his sister and brother-in-law Kelly and Wade Thomason, nieces Kay and Brooke of Overland Park, Ks. and brother Kenn of Huntington Beach, Ca.
Carl was a graduate of Shawnee Mission South High School and Pittsburg State University with a BS in Automotive Technology.
Memorial Services will be at the Stanley Presbyterian Church, 14895 Antioch, Overland Park, Ks. December 28, 2008 at 2:00 p.m.
