David A. Bowers, 33, San Francisco, formerly of this area, died June 23, 1993, at the home. The family suggests contributions to the Shanti Project, 525 Howard St., San Francisco, Calif. 94105. Mr. Bowers was born in Kansas City and lived in Overland Park before he moved to San Francisco in 1981. He was a video design specialist for Hewlitt Packard in Palo Alto, Calif. He graduated with honors from Shawnee Mission South High School in 1978.
He attended Drake University, Des Moines, Iowa, and received a bachelor's degree in computer-generated imagery from San Francisco State University. Survivors include his mother, Betty A. Bowers, Overland Park, and a sister, Donna Drayer, Albuquerque, N.M. He is also survived by a companion, Louis Schump, of the home.
