After college, I was in the Peace Corps in the Philippines. My work was to encourage family nutrition through home gardening and guiding local farmers about pesticide use because then it was the dumping ground of all the banned ones in the West . Went through big spiritual shifts. Came back to the States and lived in Santa Cruz doing karmi yoga at Mt Madonna Center of Baba Hari Dass, a community that runs a retreat center in the mountains of Santa Cruz . Moved to Berkeley and started connecting to the spiritual side of Jewish tradition. I then moved to Israel (I did my sophmore year of college in Israel), got married to a Yemenite Jew with whom I had two children. Divorced and remarried my husband who in the States was a doctor of internal medicine who in the early 80's starting integrating alternative medicine into his practice,and now focuses on homeopathy. We met in Israel and have two children together. He has two from a previous marriage so together we have a "yours, mine, and ours" family that is blessed with all the ex's getting along. I took a break from teaching Jewish mysticism and working on environmental projects in my town after having our "surprise gift" who just turned 3. Now I am busy planning my daughter's wedding.
Most likely I won't be able to make it to the reunion but look forward to the pictures.
