Jan Ireland

Jan Ireland

Jan Ellen Ireland LeBow died July 11, 2004. Jan was born July 27, 1952, in Twin Falls, ID, and rode on the train as an infant with her family to Kansas City, where she lived the rest of her life. Jan was a very happy and energetic child who loved competitive swimming. She graduated from Shawnee Mission South High School where she was a cheerleader and homecoming attendant. Jan attended Kansas State University where she was a finalist for Miss K-State. Jan worked in commercial real estate until the birth of the first of her three children, when she became a full time at home Mom. She loved her children and mother dearly as well as the rest of her family, and was very close to her father Bill, before his death in 1971. Jan was very active in all of her children's activities until she became ill. Jan had a heart for animals, especially her own pets, and she had a wonderful sense of humor. Jan is survived by her children Jordan, Derek, and J.D.; her mother Jane; and her sisters Gayle and Pat. After a long and difficult illness, we are thankful that she is now at peace in Heaven with family and friends who have gone before her.

Jan Ireland was born on 27 July 1952 in Twin Falls, Id to HW "Bill" and Jane Ireland.

At some point after high school graduation, she married a man name LeBow.  It appears they lived in the Shawnee Mission area.  They may have had three children.

Jan passed away on 11 July 2004. She is buried in the Ireland family plot at the Johnson County Memorial Gardens.

PLEASE! If you have more information about her life post it here. If this is not accurate, please post a correction.

Alexis

It is so sad that another alumn died, as we all struggle with COVID.  Living in CT in a bedroom community of NYC my train to the city days are over (30 years of trains planes and automobiles).  We all have to be extremely careful at all times.

I am now doing my Luxury footwear business virtually with the retail community i sell to in North America.

Every one has to over react to this to be safe.

Thank  you for letting me know about about Jan so sad

Very Kind Regards
