
Kansas City, Missouri - Phillip D Brady, 69, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away Monday, August 2nd, 2021.
He was born November 2nd, 1951 in Leawood, Kansas, and lived in the area most of his life. Phil was a graduate of Shawnee Mission South High School where he lettered in football. He attended SMU for a semester, and graduated from the Universlty of Kansas where he was a member of the Beta Theta Pi Fraternity He received his degree from the Wi1liam Allen White School of Journalism.
Phil initially worked in Henryetta, Oklahoma as the editor of the Henryetta FreeLance, and then Townsend Communications locally before joining his father and brother in the homebuilding business, John Taylor Brady & Sons. Most recently, Phil worked in automotive sales. Phil also volunteered with Operation Uplift's homeless outreach program through the years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Taylor and Kathryn Brady, and his sister Kathleen. He is survived by his partner, Elizabeth Segula, and his brothers John and Patrick, niece Megan Brady-Hawman and nephews Sean and Joseph Brady.
A private memorial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Phi1lip's name to the Uplift Organization: wwv up1ift.org/donate/.

Sad to hear about Phil. I met him in junior high playing football with his Dad coaching, then later worked with him, his brother and Dad selling material to their home building business. Adios Amigo see you in the forever!

I am sorry to hear about Phil's passing. I remember him from Biology when we dissected frogs. He hated that. I also remember him liking to laugh. He was always in my homeroom because my maiden name was Brown. Rest in Peace fellow Raider.
