In Memory

Cindy Kifer

Cindy Kifer died 10/7/1987.  She died in a car accident. I just stumbled across this class' site and browsed, when I noticed her date was unknown. I hope you don't mind that I looked it up for you. I hope you have a wonderful reunion! Kymberlie (Guzik) Stefanski (Owasso from 3rd-9th grade, then Collinsville class of 1990)

Cindy and I became best friends in the first grade. I spent many nights at her house. She had beautiful red hair. I have so many stories...but what I remember most was all the laughing we did. We would laugh so hard every time we were together. I still remember the night she passed. She was a great friend and am so greatful of all the wonderful and funny childhood memories I had with her.

I met Cindy in the 6th grade lunchroom . It was my 1st day at owasso and she offered to help me find my way around . I remember she was one of the kindest and funny people . And she was always there to help you out or just to listen to you . I miss her !!!!!!!!!!

Cindy and I became great friends in the 9th grade. Oh, the stories her mother could tell about us! Francie never really seemed to shocked or surprised with what Cindy and I did. She was always the life of the party, that's for sure. I still remember when she got her driver's license, we thought we were on top of the world! I sure miss her and the great times we shared with Kathy Day, Tina Hartley, Laura Rhodes. And I still remember her getting prom pics made with her beautiful red hair and that gorgeous Aqua prom dress!

Update, Cindy's dad Dennis, passed last year from complications after surgery.

Her mom still lives in the same house after all these years, and would love to hear from any of Cindy's friends.

To the mom of Cindy Kifer, I am writing to you because I want to share my story with you about your daughter. I never dated Cindy thou I would have been honored to have done so. She was so vibrant and full of life which made her beautiful from the inside out, I truely mean that. Cindy was so nice to EVERYONE which was such a rarity in Owasso especially coming from someone as pretty as she was. I have since married a red head imagine that. I have shown my wife pictures of cindy from school and we have talked about her many times over the years in random conversation, always good mind you. I have even mentioned to my kids that are getting closer to the age of driving about Cindy and to be careful etc. I know several times I have almost jerked back on the road after dropping off the edge and didnt because of my memory of her. Ms. Kifer, I pray that God has healed your pain from your losses. I hope that I am not out of line by writing this letter to you.
Sincerely, Gary Honeycutt
Cindy we miss you, we all love you, and you will never be forgotten, EVER. Your Friend, Gary Honeycutt and of course the Honeycutt Family Trisha, Jordan and Brandy.
