Bill Miller and I ended up being best of friends during and after highschool. Bill served in the Army working as a medic  based at  Fort Hood Texas. After the serving in the Army, Bill went on to earn his BS and MS in Elementary Education at Oneonta State. He received his School Administrator Supervisor Certification from SUNY Cortland and had completed additional course work in Special Education at Genesseo State.

Billl was my Best Man and I was his. Bill loved to play games, was very competitive in everything he did, and had quite the sense of humor. When he left us he was Director of Elementary Education in Cobleskill, NY. He was a very active member of his community. Bill was a Coach for many different athletic teams, a scout master for the Cub Scouts, a radio announcer for high school athletic games, a member of the Kiwanis, was very active in his church, organized many different educational groups and served on numerous others. In addition, he was a loving husband and father. It has been said by many in his community that Bill was "A classic kid's person"  He will always be fondly remembered by my family as Uncle Bill. Hopefully, his wife Ginny Locke Miller a 1964  graduate of OFA,, will be attending our reunion.

Billy was my friend across the street for many years.  We had measles, chicken pox, and even broken arms together.  He  was always a great guy. I always think of him when I see wild violets growing in a field, as one day when he was quite young, he made a May basket, filled it with violets and left them on the door knob of my front door.  He came to see me at my Mother's, just before he passed away.  We had a nice visit about old times and we said our last good by.  He even was able to put some humor in it. He praised Ginny and told me how fortunate he was to have a wonderful wife like her.   I have nothing but praise for Ginny and the wonderful life they had together.  She attended my Mother's 100th birthday and I was very happy to see her.
