Someone should say something about Mike, he was part of Oxford.

Mike was a complex person who's life was shaped by many forces. No, he was not perfect. I recall the good and not so good parts. But, I choose to remember the good parts of Mike. I have memories of things he did for me as a friend. Mike had many faces and when he had his good ones on he could be a great guy.

Mike is gone now. I feel bad for the troubles he knew and the challenges he faced. His life was not a bed of roses and he was not blessed with some of the advantages that others might have had.  I befriended the parts of him I could and we had some adventures together.  I hope his soul is at peace.

I was recently contacted by Mike Corbin's daughter and wanted to share. Mike died on Dccember 9, 1991, hit by a drunk driver on his way home from work.  He also had served in the U.S. Army. I know '64s 50th is coming up and wanted to add this.

I remeber Mike from high school. He was an outgoing and funny guy. I know he had had some troubles, but he still was va nice guy.

Mike Corbin:

Mike was a very good friend.  He was so very "bright."  As we all know, many people are challenged by the power of their intellect and without "informed" guidance, especially at a young age, often struggle to find their path in life.  Even in 2014, parents and teachers are still searching for ways to support the very gifted among us.

He will always be missed.
