Danelda died in a horseback riding accident while she was exercising after the birth of her daughter . Her husband and daughter attended the 30th class reunion so that we could share memories of her, thanks to Doug Smith.

Danelda was a close friend of mine, can't remember exactly what grade.  I would spend the night with her and her dad would try to help us with our math homework.  I couldn't get over him calling zeroes zyphers(sp?).

I remember one hayride at Danelda's house and I was the one set up for the snipe hunt.   Looking back on that it was a lot of fun but scary running around in the woods in the dark. Besides Billie Hamilton and Dan Prince, Danelda was one of the first people who died and had a profound effect on my life.  I still think about all three of them especially around reunion time.  Maybe see them on the other side if I'm lucky.

It was a pleasure setting up the visit at our 30th reunion for Bill Duckett and one of her daughters. She had two girls, Heather and Mimi. Only one could attend with Bill but it was a pleasure for me to see her all grown up. She was very appreciative for the opportunity to meet her mom's classmates and learn more about Danelda. Let's keep those comments coming.
