
John W. Burnett August 18, 1946 - July 1, 2024
John W. Burnett, 77 of Perry, was promoted to glory Monday, July 1, 2024 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born August 18th, 1946 in Painesville, the son of Helen M. (Wheeler) and John W. Burnett. John married Jan Moeller in 1970. Together, they built a home in Perry, raised three fantastic children, and shared 54 years of love. John served in the United States Air Force during Vietnam as a Crew Chief on the C-130. After returning to the states, he worked as a heavy equipment operator and ultimately opened his own business, Burnett’s Market, which served Perry residents for 20 years. John loved being outdoors and spent much time at his cabin in New York. He also enjoyed restoring and racing his ‘55 Chevy. Most of all, John loved his family and friends. He was an amazing husband, dad, and granddad, as well as a member of the AMVETS and VFW. John accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior on April 30, 2022. He is survived by his wife, Jan; Children: John III (Toni), Jodie (Sam) and James (Stacey) and Grandchildren: Lauren, John IV, Violet, Scarlett, Jack, TJ, Anna and Eliana. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Helen Burnett and his sister Peggy Roberts. Friends will be received 4-7 PM, Friday, July 5, 2024 at Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River St., Madison. A Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM Saturday, July 6,2024 at Faith Baptist Church, 3003 Narrows Rd. Perry, Ohio. Final Resting Place will be Perry Cemetery.
