
Edward J. Gullo OBITUARY
Former Monroe Township resident Edward J. Gullo, 77, of Rodeo, NM, passed away June 18, 2025 at the Center in Tucson, AZ. He was born July 10, 1947 in Painesville, the son of Carl and Stephanie (Tarasiuk) Gullo.Edward grew up on the family nursery in Painesville, where his entrepreneurial spirit first took root – eventually leading him to run his own businesses, including a craft and hobby store, convenient stores, automotive repair and tractor work during his time living in Ohio, Arizona, and New Mexico. He graduated from Cleveland State University with a degree in Chemistry with a teaching certificate. With a passion for education, Edward was a teacher at Fairport Harbor and Perry High Schools and later as a substitute teacher.Edward was a devout Catholic with a generous heart and spirit. He was a member of St. Andrew Parish in Kingsville while living in Ohio. He collected and built guns, loved to tinker and modify things, enjoyed carpentry and built the first house he and his wife Marianne lived in. Edward was funny and even though he was health conscious, his guilty pleasure was Moose Tracks ice cream.Survivors include his children Stephanie Gullo of Madison, Jennifer (Patrick) Bagliore of Saybrook, Michael (Liz) Gullo of Kingsville, Andrew (Samantha) Gullo of Monroe Township, Michelle (Brian) Whitney of Geneva, Annie Gullo of Nashville, TN, Nicole Gullo of Perry, Thomas Gullo of Animas, NM, and Christine Gullo of Perry; grandchildren Tyler, Zachary, Zoey, Ethan, Logan, Ryker, Hollie, and Violet; and brother Steve Gullo of Perry.He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Marianne (Johnson) Gullo; and brother James Gullo.Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM, Monday, June 30, 2025 at St. Andrew Bobala Parish, 3700 St. Rt. 193, Kingsville, OH, 44048, with Father Philip Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Kelloggsville Cemetery.Contributions may be made to Catholic Charities of Ashtabula County, 4200 Park Ave. 3rd Floor, Ashtabula, OH 44004.
