RHS Class of '84 - 40th Reunion Updates


 

Hello fellow 1984 classmates!  

It is finally here!  Reunion week!  So looking forward to seeing all of your smiling faces on the 26th and 27th. Just a few housekeeping things so you know what to expect:

  1. It isn’t too late to join Class Creators and purchase tickets, please do so as soon as possible so you’ll be on the list since these are private events!
  2. You don’t need to bring “tickets” or “proof of payment” to either event.  The benefit of the Class Creator website is that we are able to print off a list of attending classmates and guests.  You’ll just check in at the “Sign In” table to get your name tags.
  3. BBQ Dinner on Saturday night will be served at 5 PM.  Pizza and Wings will be served at 9 PM.  
  4. Beverage management for Saturday:    Since the venue has such a lovely outdoor space and pavilion, we now request that you bring a cooler with your beverages for the evening since it looks as if the weather is going to cooperate.  That way you don’t have to go inside and get your items when desired.  There will be water, iced tea and lemonade available on site.
  5. Since we will be outside and inside on Saturday (food will be set up inside building), please dress accordingly.  We expect this to be a casual event.  The dance floor is a cement pad with a rough surface so people don’t slip.  Thus, it will be hard on the soles of your shoes and we don’t recommend you go barefoot. Sneakers, flats or wedges will work well with the outdoor space. 
  6. Please don’t forget to bring $20 in cash either night if you’d like to pre order the reunion memory book and additional cash to purchase a ticket for a potential 50/50 Raffle. 
  7. For those of you staying at the three hotels we had blocks of rooms reserved, (Holiday Inn Express,  Comfort Inn and Steele Mansion) there will be a van providing transportation both nights to and from the venues.
  8. For locals, there will be parking on the grass at the venue on Saturday night.  You may want to arrange for transportation to and from the venue if you plan on enjoying some libations.  Better to be safe than sorry and thank goodness there are ride share options given Uber and Lyft.  Please contact Dave at 216 644 2898 if you need help arranging transportation.
  9. We are planning a RHS picture collage on Saturday night. Please bring a copy of any picture from our high school years you’d like to include.  If you don’t have a copy, please put your name on the back and we will return it to you if you forget to collect as you leave the event Saturday night.
