For all of you who having been asking about Nancy, I am very sorry to say that she took her own life in July, 2015.  She had tried for many years to get help and unfortunately, it didn't help in the end. Those of us who knew her the best knew that she had a difficult life.  It was much different than my own, however, at Fremd we really didn't seem very different.  Sophomore year Nancy and I had the exact same schedules, so needless to say we spent many hours of the day together!  She was so happy back then, we really did have a great time together in a much simpler time.  She had said that we, "silently understood each other."  We went to Young Life camp in Colorado, it was wonderful.  We had so many friends and really enjoyed being with everyone.  I remember her really liking being on the Rally Squad, I think that's what it was called.  She not only went to school, but she worked and helped a lot with her younger brothers.

I contacted Nancy a few years ago looking to find her for the Reunion, it was for our 35th.  She was going through some illinesses and other issues and wasn't able to attend. She was living in McLean, Virginia. She had two sons, Eric and Alex.  Eric was married and has two children, she was thrilled to be a Grandmother.

However, she did come for our 40th, only to spend one night at my home and then she was off again.  There were way too many demons fighting her and she tried and tried to beat them down, however, she lost in the long run.  It really was quite a challenge.  However, I will always remember her fighting, she really did put up a valiant fight!!!  She wanted so badly to get better!!  That's one thing that I will always remember, how hard she really tried.

I sincerely hope that everyone who know her will remember her with a smile, she was a very sensitive, intelligent person, she was super talented in many things.  She was a nurse and at one time owned her own business.  She deserved so much more.  She is at peace now and I think she is in a much better place.  You are missed, Nancy!

I found out from Nancy's sister Kathy that they did hold a Memorial in Carmel Indiana where Nancy had lived for quite awhile and they plan to share her ashes at the beach where they vacationed for many years on the shore, somewhere on the East coast!  Miss you Nanc!  Sue Yelovich and I had lunch last summer up at Lamp's, she really wished that she knew how sad you had been!  Also, happy to hear that your Dog Daisy is living with your brother Bobby and doing well!  You are missed!  RIP
