Jeffrey A. Herrell formerly of Palatine The funeral service for Jeffrey A. Herrell, 52, of Inverness for 1½ years, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 10, at Matz Funeral Home, 410 E. Rand Road, Mount Prospect, with Pastor Tim Haugen officiating. Burial will be in Arlington Heights/Wheeling Township Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 9, at the funeral home. Born May 18, 1956, in Chicago, he died Thursday, Dec. 4, 2008, in Palatine. He was employed as an electrical consultant for Wang Computers. His prior employment was with the National Semiconductor Corp. He was an avid sportsman and enjoyed many hours of fishing and hunting with his brother and late father. He was the loving father of Daniel; devoted son of the late Richard and Elizabeth; fond brother of Rick (Rosalie); dear nephew of Cara (the late L.H.) Stamey and Thomas (Susan) Mackrola; and dear uncle of Emily.
