Mishawaka – Word has been received of the death of David A. Baldoni, 21, formerly of the Lake of the Woods, Ill., formerly of Mishawaka. He was killed on Dec. 7, in a car-train wreck in Chicago.
He is survived by his wife Debra; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Baldoni, of Rolling Hills, Ill; a brother Tom, at home; three sisters. Mrs Laure Dudziak of Chicago, and Susan and Mona Baldoni, both at home; paternal grandmother, Mrs. Genevieve Baldoni of Mishawaka, and maternal grandmother, Mrs. Loretta Wikon of South Bend.
Services were Monday at St. Hubert’s Catholic Church, Hoffman Estates, Ill. Burial was in St. Joseph Cemetery, River Grove, Ill.
Editor: He was the son of Raymond Alexander Baldoni and Leanna Wilson. The name of his maternal grandmother is Loretta Wilson.

I always liked Dave. We shared home room together. He liked to make paperback book movies; the ones where you draw a slightly different picture on several dozen pages so that when you flipped the pages of a book it looked like an animated cartoon.
He was a good guy and was always nice to me. I was sad when I heard the news years ago. He made an impression in my life.
