Survived By: Mother Betty, father Robert, sisters Lisa Ann and Laura Louise and brother Robert.
Good friends with Andy Schmidt. Loved hockey. Had a big heart and great sense of humour. Was good to his sister and was just a fun guy to be around! Believed in helping people.

Mike continues to be the best friend I have ever had in my life. The memories we shared never leave my mind. We met playing hockey in the palatine hockey house league at the age of 13. We played defense together. Mike on the left side Andy on the right. Andy loved to leave his position and score goals. Mike was the Rock and covered Andy when he left his position. Our friendship was instant. Mike was loved by all disliked by no one. For many years I abanded God for taking my friend so early. I now understand God needed Mike up there more than we needed Mike down here. Not sure I agree with that but I accept it today. I will continue to remember my friend and visit him on occasion at All Saints cemetery on river road. The pain of Mikes dealth will continue, but I'm the man I am today because of a kid called Mike. Thank you God for giving my life six years that has lasted a lifetime. Thanks everyone for reading my comment. After all these years I want everyone to know what a kid called Mike meant to a man called Andy.
