In Memory

Roberta Browne (Wiesner)

Roberta (Bobbie) Browne Wiesner died On March 17, 2020 near Sacramento, CA.  She had been diagnosed 3 weeks earlier with an inoperable brain tumor, that seemingly came out of nowhere.  Deanne Bennion and I were fortunate enough to see her in hospice shortly before she died.  We had a good time reminiscing, laughing, and telling stories about our Palo Alto days.

Bobbie organized her "farewell party," a week before she died that was attended by over a hundred people.  Quite a tribute to a great woman.

We met in junior high and became life long friends, sharing many adventures over the years.  She was generous to a fault, never too busy to lend an ear or offer advice when asked.

Bobbie was an amazing woman, good friend, great cook, hostess extraordinaire.  Noone could organize events or people like she could!  In the last few years, she had become an accomplished artist, which she loved.  I was one of those lucky enough to receive one of her paintings.

Bobbie had 4 girls, and married Don Wiesner who had 4 boys!  Needless to say, life was busy!  At last count, there were 19 grandchildren and 3 greats.

I miss her terribly.
