Lois Cunliffe

In 1969-73 Lois began attending ASUUC services.  She came to Colorado Springs with Air Force Officer husband, Ernie, after attending college at Stanford University in California where she earned both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Elementary Education.

Lois went on to earn another master’s degree in Special Education from UCCS and loved her years teaching children. She also raised two children of her own, Jon, a Chef at the Olympic Training Center and Lyn, a teacher in District 20 schools.

Both of Lois's children live in Colorado along with her grandchildren, Zach and Aly.

Before returning to Colorado in 1978, Lois and Ernie went where the Air Force sent them and called Texas, and Oregon home.  Lois attended UU churches wherever they lived. She became active in All Souls a second time when Ernie retired from the Air Force in Colorado Springs.

An accomplished "Plein Air" oil painter, Lois has been active on the Arts and Aesthetics Team and the Membership Team. Her beautiful art has graced ASUUC walls many times and pieces sold during art shows and auctions have strengthened our church finances.

An all-around caring and giving woman with the heart of an artist, Lois Cunliffe has been nominated by the ASUUC Board of Directors to be named member Emeritus with all the privileges this honorary title bestows. We thank Lois for her years of service to ASUUC with this title.
