Christine Lea Clark, 49, of 153 Yvonne Drive, died Wednesday after a long battle with breast cancer. Born in Palo Alto, CA, on April 25th, 1957, daughter of Ilia G. "Leo" Poppoff and the late Betty Sieh Poppoff, she graduated from Palo Alto High School in 1975 and received a certificate as a licensed vocational nurse in California.
Mrs. Clark was manager of the Licensed Vocational Nursing office for many years in Redwood City, California.
She founded Apert Support and Information Network, a nonprofit group that assists families with Apert Syndrome, and was a board member of the School of Guiding Hands in Sacramento, a private school for special-needs children. She also was past president of the Woodside Road Condo Association in Redwood City.
Locally, she was a member of the Berkshire County Regional School District ad hoc long-range planning committee and active with Relay for Life. Her hobbies included reading and computers.
She and her husband, John V. "Jack" Clark, were married July 16, 1983.
Besides her husband and father, of Pebble Beach, California, she leaves two daughters, Michelle A. Clark and Shannon T. Clark, both of Dalton; a brother, Mark D. Poppoff of the Dalles, Oregon; and a sister Robin M. Poppoff of Mountain View, California.
She died April 18, 2007.
