Julie Hackett (Adams)

Kristie and I lived across the street from one another since the 8th grade, on St. Michaels Ct.

She had the nicest family, that were very close knit. I will always remember when my mother got sick, and later when all 3 of us kids in our family moved away in the 70's, they still came over to check-in and help my dad care for my mom. I wish I could find the pictures of us doing crafts at her house - they were all such fun times!

When I found out that she had moved to Colorado and lived about 15 miles from me, we talked on the phone and met up. We both set up several times to meet in 2025 but they all got cancelled and I didn't hear from her. It makes me sad - her smile, sense of humor and caring nature towards my 2 children and the love she had for her children and husband were the most important things in her life. Family and friends were what gave her life meaning and purpose - this is what I would want her children to know.

We were good friends in Jr and Sr High and played many sports together.  She was always much better than I was, a real talented athlete!

We moved to Baton Rouge, LA after HS graduation so we lost touch but did meet up again in Denver when she invited us to spend the night when we attended our Cubberley 50th Reunion.  She served us the thickest, most delicious steak for dinner!  My husband was really impressed and still talks about it.

Kristi was a good friend with a good heart and will be missed.
