We heard that Jan Davis Eames passed away on September 13th, from pancreatic cancer. Obituary information is not available yet, we'll post it once it is available.
jan was a savior for me. at fairmeadow I was there 2nd grade thru 5th before my mother got remarried and moved me to greenmeadow area and to greendell for 6th grade .. jan and I were the only ones in our class with single moms. her mom and jan were angels and she stayed that way, always kind and good and honest... her daughters were SO lucky to have her as a mom... God Bless Jan... she has her wings in heaven...
My gosh, this news is a gut hit. I have fabulous memories of hanging with Jan and the fam at the Ramona house. She practiced her pre-nursing skills when she pierced my ears with an ice cube and potato. She mis-spoke when she said that ear lobes didn't bleed. My thoughts are with her 4 daughters, grandkid(s) and Bob.
So very sad to hear about Jan. She was one of the brightest lights, always with a kind word and compassion. Blessings and peace be hers. I wish deepest comfort to her family. From the 1971 Totem:
