In Memory

Jim Mason

Today I am having a day of reflection. I was reading my journal from 1978 and I came across this tribute to our friend Jim mason. In 1983 Jim Mason came up in a conversation. I realized that I had never written anything about him.
Jim Mason
In the short time he was with us in mortality he lived great in my eyes. He joined the Church of Jesus Christ of latter Day Saints when he was a teenager and lived it well. He developed his talents and was a great friend; even though he was my brother Dave's age he treated me like a best friend, just like he treated everyone else. He served an honorable mission in Independence Missouri. Shortly after he came home he was killed in a car crash. If I was called to go I wouldn't mind if I was living like he was. Hopefully when I see him again I will be happy because his life and example gave me a model to follow.
