A fondness for coastal breezes and sunny days, for a short period of time brought her our way

Led away by an adventurous spirit and cheer, only to return to the friends and surroundings once held dear

Swept away like a seashell in the tide, in the heart these memories continue to reside

Steve, very well said.

Ironically I met Mandi through Robin Laird in the spring of our junior year.  She had just moved to PCB from Alabama.  Mandi was sort of quiet and yet very cool, and as she became more comfortable around you, she really opened up her funny personality.  Mandi would sometimes come out to Miracle Strip and hang out like all of us did after our jobs closed down.  She moved west and shined like a star, then came home to enjoy the beautiful beaches and raise a family.  Tragically, she was taken from us by a drunk driver while walking down Front Beach Road early on New Years Eve.  May God bless you and your family, Mandi.

Mandi used to sit next to me in English class, and like 95% of the guys and 15% of the girls, I had a big crush on her.  She was smart and funny, and she had a kindness about her that I can still remember. She was a free spirit that we lost too soon.

My memories of Mandi - she was pretty, sweet, open and honest, and a breath of fresh air!

Amanda Margaret Gantt, my "Collaborator and Amiga!" We became fast friends our junior year, loved Spanish hated gym! Spent many weekends together hanging out.  Such a sweet sweet spirit,  beautiful inside and out! Always in awe of her perspective on life! Miss you girl!
