In July 2012, Emily, Jennifer Kinsaul Arnold, and I got together for the first time in years and had a wonderful time. In August, she went to Costa Rica with her daughter, and she is radiant in numerous photos from that special place. On September 13 she announced that she was having headaches, and would be having surgery for a brain tumor. We exchanged a quick note and positive vibes before the surgery and I never got to speak to her again. She was gone in two months.
IN her last year, Emily felt a great urge to reconnect with Bay High friends. She started a facebook page for Band members, and got us all back together. The world works in mysterious ways.
Emily was an avid gardener, and hummingbirds were her favorite. Think of her the next time you see one. She's there.
