Emmett was such a gentle giant, quick with a joke and a huge smile. I had classes with Emmett but we had a blast in beginning guitar junior year. He was pretty good and picked it up very fast. I, on the other hand, sucked, I was totally clueless, just ask Elmore! Emmett would try and try to help me learn how to read the notes and place my fingers in the right place, but I was just spazzing out. He and Dennis Kilardy had so much fun laughing at my expense but he was so funny that I had to laugh at myself with them. I'm sad to see he's gone as he would have been a good man. I would have liked to have caught up with Emmett at the reunion and let him get me laughing again about my musical talents. Rock on Emmett, may God bless you.
