Dennis Dziuma
Finance Executive, Runner & Gardener, "A True Gentleman" Dennis Michael Dziuma, 80, passed away peacefully on February 9, 2025.
Dennis is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Judith, son David and his wife, Whitney, daughter Karen and her husband, Joseph DeRosa Jr., and five grandchildren, Katharine and Elizabeth Dziuma, and William, Daniel, and Charlotte DeRosa. His brother Alan also survives him.
Dennis graduated from Paramus High School, Upsala College, and Seton Hall, with an MBA. He was a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Financial Planner. In addition to being self-employed, he worked for several companies in a variety of financial executive roles.
Dennis lived in Franklin Lakes for 20 years before moving to Long Beach Island, where he retired. He thoroughly enjoyed life at the shore. For the past 4 years, he has resided at Arbor Terrace in Morris Plains.
Dennis will be remembered as kind and patient, and a true gentleman who cared deeply for his family and friends. He was the picture of patience while coaching multiple community sports teams for his children in the Franklin Lakes recreational leagues. Dennis had a green thumb and thoroughly enjoyed gardening over the years. Weeds never dared visit a Dziuma home. He was an avid runner, enjoying his daily jogs around the neighborhood, and was most proud of his completion of LBI's 18 mile run. At the shore, Dennis dabbled in surf fishing but was more successful in losing his bait. He picked up swimming in his later years, often spending hours in the pool at St. Francis perfecting his slow and steady pace.
Dennis made friends everywhere he went and would often stop to chat with people regardless of where he was.
He touched the lives of many and truly will be missed.
