David Goldstein

September 18, 1949 - September 23, 2006

David L. Goldstein, age 57, of Bexley [Ohio] passed away after a brief illness on September 23, 2006, surrounded by his loving family. 
 
Born September 18, 1949 in New York, New York, he attended Paramus High School in Paramus, NJ and the Rochester Institute of Technology, where he wrestled and played lacrosse. A talented retailer, he worked for many years at B. Altman in New York City and Lazarus in Columbus. An entrepreneur at heart, he went on to found Costume Specialists in 1981 and Triple Bay Sales in 2005. 
 
David was active with Troop 166 of the Boy Scouts of America, B’nai Brith, and Charity Newsies, and a member of Congregation Tifereth Israel. 
 
David was a man with a big heart who touched the lives of many with his generosity and humor. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, regaling them with his encyclopedic knowledge of movies and classic rock and roll, and also following the NY Yankees and Buckeye football. 
 
David is survived by his children Sara and Stephen; his mother Selma Goldstein, sister Leona Kockenmeister, and brother Steve Goldstein; his girlfriend of eight years, Beth Jarvis and her children Jennifer, Emily and David; ex-wife and friend Wendy Goldstein, and thirteen loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Sidney Goldstein. 
 
Burial at Beth El Cemetery in Washington Township, NJ.
