In Memory

Robert Dickinson - Class of 1969

Robert Dickinson

Robert Dickinson, 73, of Wyckoff, New Jersey, passed away on May 4, 2024 after a short battle with lung cancer. He died surrounded by loved ones.

Bob was born in Glens Falls, New York, raised in Paramus, New Jersey, and later made Wyckoff, New Jersey, his home. He was a graduate of Paramus High School and Bergen Community College. He spent his career working in textile manufacturing for his family businesses, Paris Lace and Lace For Less.

He was a cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. His generosity greatly touched the lives of many. He was known for hosting lively pool parties for family and friends every summer, and he loved taking family vacations to the Caribbean and trips to visit his wife's family in Colombia. Bob was passionate about soccer, both as a coach and player, as well as an avid follower of the Premier League. Bob also loved to test his luck at the casino, where his games of choice were Caribbean Stud poker and Texas Hold'em.

Bob is survived by his devoted wife, Angela, with whom he shared 40 years of love and companionship. His memory lives on through his four children: Pax Dickinson, Casey Dickinson (Megan), Katlyn Dickinson (Justin), and Sara Boggs (Tripp). He was a beloved grandfather to Sage, Leo, Silas and Mariella. He is also survived by his five siblings, Jack, Bill (Jo Ann), Joe (Nancy), Darlene (Rick) and Mike (Melanie). He was a loving uncle to his 21 nieces and nephews, and was unofficially "Uncle Bob" and "Tio Americano" to countless more.

Bob has now reunited with his late parents Marion and Fred Dickinson, in eternal peace. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the American Cancer Society.
