Thomas Lembo

June 24, 1953 - December 3, 2025

Thomas Anthony Lembo was born on June 24, 1953, in Brooklyn, NY, and left us on December 3, 2025, at the age of 72.

Tom lived life to the beat of his own drum and by the creed ‘you only live once.’ However, he tested that theory several times.

Tom was fiercely loyal, incredibly generous, and always rooted for the underdog (with the exception of the Boston Red Sox). His personality was larger than life, but his heart was even bigger.

If Tom didn’t like you, he let you know it, but more often than not, you became one of his favorite people. And if you were one of the many people fortunate enough to know him, he was always there to support you in any way he could. Any time he had good fortune, he would share it with his loved ones, but he also gave of himself when he had little to give.

Tom proudly served his country in the United States Navy for over a decade, an experience that allowed him to travel the world. Over the years, he also achieved the remarkable milestone of visiting all 50 states, a feat he took immense pride in.

Family was at the center of Tom’s life and he deeply cherished the moments spent with his loved ones. He is survived by his father, Raymond; his brothers, Steven and wife Laurie, and Robert and wife Sandra; along with his nieces and nephews, Joseph Randall and Chevonna, Jennifer Wilson and Robbie, Kristen Sandman and Scott, Steven Lembo and Brittany, Nicole Victory and Joe, Brittany Lembo, and 13 great-nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his mother, Yolanda; sister, Principia; and brother, Raymond.

While Tom will be dearly missed, we can keep his legacy alive by helping others, especially when it is difficult, living life to the fullest, and above all, by having fun no matter what.

Family will receive friends on Thursday December 11, 2025 from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm at the Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 113 South Farview Avenue, Paramus, NJ. Funeral Service will be held at 9:30 am on Saturday, December 12, at Vander Plaat Memorial Home, then to Annunciation R.C. Church, Paramus, for a 10 am Mass of Christian Burial. Interment to follow at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus, NJ.
