In Memory

Joseph J. Wiscovitch - Class of 1990

Joseph Wiscovitch

August 4 1972 - February 25, 2025

Joseph (Joey) James Wiscovitch of Hackensack, N.J. entered into eternal rest on February 25, 2025. He was a beloved son to John and Rosemary Wiscovitch of Paramus, N.J.

Born on August 4, 1972, Joseph grew up in Brooklyn, NY and attended Xaverian High School, before moving to New Jersey, where he graduated from Paramus High School, and attended Rutgers University. He had an extensive career in the food service industry before being an entrepreneur who owned various businesses. Joe's greatest Super Power was making people laugh. His quick wit and sense of humor readily put people at ease and made them smile. Rooms would light up when he walked in. Joe was generous with his time and his heart, volunteering at Buddies of NJ and Camp Sunshine/Snowflake in Ridgewood, NJ, among other charities. He was a caring, thoughtful, generous and loving man, who lived a full life. He enjoyed traveling, food, shopping, and spending time with family and friends.

Joseph is survived by his parents, his beloved brother Vincent, sister-in-law Pam, nieces Hannah and Anabella, and nephew Jake. He is also survived by many cousins and his two turtles he called his babies, Peaches and G-Money. All who knew him and loved him will miss him dearly.

His family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations to Buddies of NJ, Inc. (www.njbuddies.org) or Bergen Family Center (www.bergenfamilycenter.org) in Joseph's name would be appreciated, in recognition of the care and kindness they showed him over the years.
