Patti-Lynn Herberger (Colucci) - Class of 1980

Patti-Lynn Herberger Colucci

Patti Lynn Colucci (Herburger) was born the third of four children in Hoboken, NJ to Robert and Caroline Herburger. She passed away on October 16, 2022.

She is predeceased by her father Robert, sister Deborah DeAbrantes (Herbuger), sister in-law Diana Schmelzer (Colucci) and mother-in-law Theresa Colucci. She is survived by her very handsome husband Vincent, son Vincent II, his wife Julie and their two beautiful children Gianna and Luca, daughter Jessica, son
Nicholas, her mother Caroline Herburger, brother Robert Jr, brother Richard and his wife Angela, father-in-law Bruno Colucci, sister-in-law Joanne Dufresne (Colucci) and her husband Steve, brother-in-law Joseph Schmelzer, brother-in-law Michael Colucci and his wife Pam, sister-in-law Theresa Merino (Colucci) and her
husband Rick, and by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and close and dear friends.

Patti grew up in North Bergen, NJ, and moved to Paramus in the 5 th grade where she attended Ridge Ranch Elementary School, West Brook Jr High School and went on to graduate from Paramus High School.

Patti and Vince met their senior year at Paramus High. They went to the senior prom together and dated for five years before getting married in 1985. After marriage, they moved to Kearny, NJ and then moved to Waldwick, NJ where they started and raised their family and currently live. They have many fond memories
and good friends in Waldwick.

Patti had a great love for life and always had people laughing with her great sense of humor and quick wit. You would find her at the park with her children or at one of their many sporting events whether it was hockey, soccer, baseball, or softball. She loved being with family and friends whether at a backyard BBQ, birthday party, cousins' weekend at the lake, or a camping trip. But, most of all Patti loved
the beach. She could stay there for hours playing with the kids when they were little, just sitting there reading a book or one of her favorite rag magazines (People, US) or just people watching which, let's face it, is always fun down the shore.

In the recent years, Patti got the most joy out of being Grandma to Gianna and Luca. She loved watching them grow and develop and they always made her smile no matter what she was going through. They will always have her as their Guardian Angel as will all her grandchildren to come.

Patti was an incredibly strong woman who battled cancer intermittently with grace and courage since the late 1980's. Patti and Vince appreciate all love, support, and prayers everyone has given them and their family through this very difficult time and ask that you continue to pray for them.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the American Cancer Society or Valley Hospice.
