Bill was a very private individual but felt most fulfilled when helping others on a one-on-one basis. He loved nature, he was an avid photographer, loved history and the preservation of history. He became a self-taught watchmaker, fixing and preserving history. Bill was a musician and appreciated all kinds and genres of music but had a special love of all things Jimi Hendrix. His work and profession for most of his life was mechanical drafting and design and was self taught, becoming an expert in SolidWorks design software. He was a man of utmost honesty and integrity and was always true to himself. You could always have frank, honest conversations with Bill and he was highly respected because of it. He was always there for everyone who needed him. He was an avid reader. He loved his family, his friends, and this country. He escaped from Hungary with his mother and sister in the late 50's when the Russians invaded Hungary, first going to Italy before his family was sponsored to come to the US. He went to St. Margaret's at a time when he did not know any English. He quickly picked up the language and the nuns told him his name was Bill (not his Hungarian first name). He always credited the nuns with working with him and he acclimated quickly into American life graduating from high school at the same age as his peers. He had a remarkable mind. Bill had a great love for animals and was always rescuing and caring for stray cats (and one dog). One of his charities was the ASPCA and Best Friends. The depth of his love for others, humble nature of service will be missed. He had a deep faith and personal relationship with God and is now in God's embrace.
