Ann Van Bruinisse (Brunskill)

I had hoped to see him at the reunion. We sat together at the 20th, recalling all our crazy times growing up in Mt. Tabor, the time I fell in Tabor Lake and Don built a fire in the woods so my clothes would dry and my parents wouldn't punish me....we were all of about 9 or 10 yrs old. Don played cowboys and indians in the woods with REAL arrows, Butch Crumpacker, Anne's brother, got one right thru his calf. Another time Don built a 'snake pit' into which we put all the garter snakes we could find. It looked like Raiders of the Lost Ark by the time we got done with it. We had alot of fun growing up together and my Mother just loved his Mom, Shirley. At the last reunion Don asked me to guess what he did for a living, and I said the most outrageous thing would be if you were a teacher considering the crazy stuff we did growing up, imagine my surprise when he said "exactly". He was a really nice guy and I'm sorry for your loss.
