Madeline was one of the most beautiful girls I ever knew.  She had a natural beauty and was stunning to look at.  She was also smart, really funny, always happy and one of the sweetest, most caring friends I had in high school.  I remember her smile and her laugh.  Her family lost her way too early.

I did not know Madeline very well in high school, but whenever I encountered her in the hall or at lunch or at an afterschool function, I was always so impressed by her timeless beauty.  Not only was she stunning to look at with her very beautiful black hair, dark eyes and ivory complexion, but she was as happy and bright and friendly as she was beautiful.  After high school, I met her quite by chance, at her work place here in Pasadena.  Seven or eight years had passed since graduation, but Madeline still possessed  her warm and smiling disposition.  Her black hair, now sprinkled with glints of silver, did in no way detract from her natural beauty.

I never saw her again, but thought of her so often.  I was shocked to hear that her life had been cut so short, and that she was taken from us far too soon. Although her life on this earth was brief, I am sure her lovely spirit graces the  heavens where she is at peace resting among the stars.

I agree with Barbara, Jim, and Chris; we were all in awe of her beauty!
