Bob Fuhrman was a total character who had a strange way of owning a variety of bizarre cars that we'd cruise around in, including an old hearse and a convertible 1950 Buick.  In addition, he'd drive these cars well before he or any of us had driver's licenses!  Absolutely crazy.  Had many a good ride with my friend Bob!

Bob was in and out of my classes from Wilson Jr. High thru PHS.  He had a Moped.  I remember one night he said: "let's go for a ride."  Now, my parents would NEVER let me go on a motor cycle but I said : "Yeah let's go!" (they were out for the evening) So we rode most of the night. Far far from the Chapman Woods area where we started.  All the way into downtown Pasadena.  It was SO much fun.  It was quite the adventure for a 15 year old.  It was a GRAND time.

I was quite sad when I heard he had passed to see he lived out his later years in Santa Barbara where I was living at the same time.  I would have loved to have re connected with him.  RIP Bob, thanks for that great adventure as well as for your smile which was always genuine and always consistant.

I ran in to Bob in San Lis Obispo, he owned a phone store.  It was fun catching up on old times. I saw him several times at different venues in SLO. He was a great GUY,
