I'm so sorry to hear about Harry. We met in the summer before 10th grade when my family moved and landed a block away from his house. He used to come over and hang out, talking to me and my sisters. He loaned me his green 10-speed one time to ride to La Puente to play football with friends in my old neighborhood. The ride over there was easy, but the ride back was very uphill. I made it, but made him promise to never lend me his bike for that again. I saw Harry at the reunion last year, and met his lovely wife. We had some fun memories to share and, when I asked him why he hung out at our house so much, he said he thought maybe he was trying to get a date. We looked at each other for a minute, and had a great laugh.
My sisters and I grieve at his passing, and send our thoughts to his family.
