I know for certain that we never lose the people we love, even to death. They continue to participate in every act, thought and decision we make. Joni was a great friend to so many of us. She was a kind of friend that would stand by you no matter what. She was well loved. So many of us are forever grateful for being able to spend many years of our lives with a friend like Joni. I was so deeply saddened to see that Joni had passed just two short months after our reunion. I was never close to Joni but was so glad that Lisa Teal gave me the "assignment" at the reunion of taking photos of everyone. I can still see Joni sitting at the back corner table visiting with her friends and looking so happy! She was still so beautiful after all these years. I wish her family and daughter peace in remembering happy and fun times spent with Joni. She will be missed!
