Charles "Mike" Cohen, 68, a resident of The Dalles, Ore. and a 42 year resident of Weiser, Idaho, died (in The Dalles, OR) on Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012.
He was born in Marysville, Kan. on July 26, 1944, the oldest of three children born to Charles E. and Marian V. (Heleker) Cohen. He grew up in Frankfort, Kan. till the age of 13 then moved to Payette, Idaho graduating in 1962.
Mike married Pat Melius on Nov. 14, 1964 in Fallon, Nev. He worked for the State of Idaho as a Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Inspector for 33 years. He lived for hunting and fishing, hunting and fishing and hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Pat Cohen; his son, Randy Cohen; his daughter, Shelley Cohen; all of The Dalles, Ore.; two sisters, Cleo Travis, of Riggins, Idaho and Julie McHaffie, of Payette, Idaho.
Per Mike's request there will be no services. Private cremation held at Win-Quatt Crematory in The Dalles with Spencer, Libby and Powell Funeral Home in care of arrangements.
