Kendall Jay Paynter 12/30/43 - 7/1/17

Kendall Paynter, 73, died Saturday at a local hospital from complications of infection. Kendall was born to Virginia and Hugh Paynter in Emmett and grew up in Payette. He had lived in Nampa for nearly 40 years. Kendall met and married Sandi Filatreau during their college years at University of Idaho. Together they raised two children Alissa and Todd, and actively participated in their lives and the lives of their four grandchildren. Their grandchldren called "Meme and Papa's" house Disneyland. Kendall and Sandi indulged their love of travel by exploring over a dozen foreign countries together.

Kendall owned and ran Kendall's Steak and Seafood and later Kendall's Monkey Bar of Nampa where he made many great friernds who enjoyed his live monkeys, his lively charity work, and his crazy sense of humor.

Kendall was a friend to flowers, birds and squirrels and an enemy to fish. His wife, chldren and grandchildren meant more to him than anything in the world. Those who met him became his friends, and he kept his friends forever.

He is survived by his loving wife (and nurse) Sandi, son Todd Paynter, daughter and son-in-law Alissa and David Boyer, sister Sherrie Nelson, grandchldren Kisandra, David, Kendall and Jenna, and great-grandchildren, Aria,Tucker and Jax, and numberous extended family members and friends.

His funeral will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Zeyer Funeral Chapel 83 N. Midland Blvd. Nampa. (208) 467-7300
