My beloved brother, Barry, died in 2007 of pancreatic cancer. He served two tours of duty in Vietnam at Da Nang air force base with the Navy Seabees, worked at the arsenal upon returning and then Brown and Williams Tobacco Company in Petersburg, Va. He earned a degree in instrumentation from NRVCC and was working with the power plant at Va. Tech when he died. His wife, Dixie, survives at their home on Guinea Mountain as well as his daughters, Sheila and Drema. Sheila has two daughters and Drema has a son. Barry loved Giles County and his mountain home. I miss him every day and wish he had had a easier time. This cancer is deadly and has very little research on it. Sonya Albert Falls
