Not just Walter, but Walter Greeeeen. I know you got tired of me and Kim picking at you...or maybe not. I think you knew that we just picked at you because we liked you. You were pretty cool Walt. I miss you and Dex.
Walter was a great friend. He did take alot of crap from Earlene and I but he knew we all (including Susan) thought the world of him. One of the (many) reasons I enjoyed going back to Willacoochee after I moved away was because I knew I would see him (usually in the drugstore)and "catch up" on laughs. THAT was guaranteed. I never saw Walter without a smile and never heard him say anything negative or complain. He is greatly missed.
You are so right Kim. He ALWAYS had a smile. The last couple of years he and I ran into each other in Nashville on Sundays. Charles and I would go visit Charles's mother in the Berrien County Nursing Center and Walt would be there visiting an aunt. He went faithfully. I so enjoyed seeing him while we were there and talking to him. It was a SHOCK when he passed away. He was at work when this happened. I attended his funeral and saw Miranda Crawford and Sophia Gail Butler there also. It was a sad but joyous home going. The music was GREAT. Even through the tears...you had to be happy because he was in a better place. He and his lovely smile will be missed!!!
