When I saw your name, my heart stopped beating for a second and I couldn't breathe. I guess even after you're gone you still have such a sweet presence that it's breathtaking. Stan was always a special special person. He was down-to-earth and always kind to those he came in contact with. It was always good to run into him at Wal-Mart or at church on occasions through out the years for revivals or special events. He and his wife were teaching children's church when he passed away. I tell you what...it really gets you in the heart and stomach when you have to walk up and look at a classmate at a viewing. There is such a bond there and you know it...but you really KNOW it when it is the final goodbye down here...but I thank God he made a perfect plan of salvation. We can put the Lord, our God, and his Son, first in our lives and love him with all our heart, soul, and mind, and love our neighbors as we love ourselves...and we can all live in eternity together...How awesome is God!!! Stan... I will miss you always on this side...but I'll see you over yonder...
Read the quote from the yearbook. He knew who he was! I've known Stan all of my life from WAY back! He attended Mt. Zion church and I attened Stokesville. Our churches got together often and I became friends with he and his brother Van. Later in life, we attended church at Covanant Church together. This man could sing!! One of the most moving songs I've ever heard in my life was Stan, Van, Michael Wright & Lon Gillis sing "He's Alive" with their guitars! It was AWESOME!!! I know he's one of the best singers heaven has right now...but move over Stan...there are a few more coming to join you some day soon! Love ya!
