LOMBARD, Ill. -- Elizabeth "Betsy" McCafferty Karalis, 68, of Lombard, Ill., passed away, Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2012, at Adventist Hinsdale Hospital in Hinsdale, Ill. She was born in Pittsburgh on Aug. 23, 1943, the daughter of Carl and Mary (DiPasqua) Casper, and married Alex A. Karalis on Sept. 22, 1984. He preceded her in death. Elizabeth worked as a project manager in the telecommunications industry, and was a member of Wellness House in Hinsdale, Ill. "Betsy" was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Wooster. Surviving are children, Ronald P. (Kathleen) McCafferty of Glen Ellyn, Ill., Sandra M. (Reed) Cook and a granddaughter, Sara LaFarlette of Idaho Falls, Idaho; and a special friend, Frank Gagnepain of St. Charles, Ill.
