My memories of Jim, his father James, his mother Virginia, and his grandmother "Mrs. Ayres" will never be lost.
Jim called me several days before his passing to share that one of his sons was now living in St, Cloud and his grandchilren were attending the American school in Paris. He was very proud of his children's achievements. One of my strong memories of Jim is that he could always support the achievements of others while not forgetting his own passions; family, music, sports and motor cars.
Jim was my best friend throughout elementary and junior high, he was best man at my 1st wedding in 1965 and I had the honor of walking his mother Virginia down the aisle when he and Carol were married, Jim and Carol came to the dockside when we boarded the QE2 for the beginning of my international life.
As I write this, memories flood in of walking together to and from our school bus stop for many years, the numerous times I ate dinner at the Kenny home, delivering their newspaper, the time my father repaired the Kenny family television set, and both of our family's fascination with Pontiac convertibles.
I won't miss Jim, he is always with me,

Wishing you the best of birthdays, John
Jim - hope you are getting ready for a super celebration. Think of you often and look forward to when we can eventually meet up. Expecting 2 more grandbabies this year bringing the count to 5. Life is mostly centered around running around to see them:
Singapore (twins), Baton Rouge, Germany, and Paris.
Hope all is very well with you.
Best,
John
