Nearly 25 years ago Carol and I merged families – she had three kids and I had two, so now we have five, plus two angelic little grandkids. We enjoy traveling and spending time with our kids in Texas and Los Angeles. With so many offspring we’re both still working, but are enjoying life in Dallas and in five more years just might fully retire.
I lead Strategic4sight, a four-person nonprofit Strategic Planning, Marketing and Governance consulting firm (see strategic4sight.com). I've been teaching nonprofit marketing as an adjunct professor at my undergrad alma mater, DePauw University, SMU, the University of North Texas and at the Center for Nonprofit Management.
After a math major at DePauw University and graduate business school at Carnegie Mellon University, I had a 36-year career with ExxonMobil. This included leading global business marketing and corporate communications functions, as well as the fun of living in Europe for five years.
Following retirement from ExxonMobil, I served as senior vice president of brand strategy and communications for the United Way of Metropolitan Dallas. Since college I’ve served on 21 different local, national and international nonprofit boards of directors.
