Diana was one of my very best friends in high school. I will always remember her for her straight-forwardness and honesty. She was her own person and never worried what others thought about her. After high school she joined the Army and later got married. She had 3 children but lost one to SIDS not long after the birth. Later, she divorced and she and her two children, a son and a daughter, moved back to Lee County. That day in 1999 I was listening to the scanner when I heard about a car wreck in Stone Creek with a deceased person. Of course my heart went out to whoever that was and their family but when I later learned it was Diana I was so shocked and deeply saddened. I just could not believe it. Awhile after that, I found out that the wreck had happened right in front of my uncles house and he actually ran to the scene and was with her when she passed. Her mother told me back then that Diana had just left their house on her way to work when it happened. She had told them before she got in her car that she sure wished it would snow. It did on the day of her burial. I will miss her always. She was definately one of a kind. I still can't believe she's gone.

I had known Diana since early grade school. She was one of a kind!! I can still to this day, hear her say her whole name. It just rolled right out of her mouth. She was the same anytime I would see her.She will ALWAYS be remembered and missed.
