Michael R. Sowders age 54 of Atco, NJ passed away suddenly on May 15, 2012.
Mike was born in Camden, NJ. He served in the US Armed Forces, first with the US Air Force and then the US National Guard. He later went on to work at the US Post Office in Bellmawr.
Mike was very active with the WTAA (Waterford Township Athletic Association) He spent many days and nights on the baseball diamond. He especially enjoyed a good Phillies Game. He loved his Phillies. A memorable moment for Mike was when he met Roy Halladay during spring training. Mike was happy just listening to Harry Kalas crooning "High Hopes" after every Phillies win or with the volume up and his head phones on listening to Bruce Springsteen's "Mary's Place."
Mike is survived by his wife Renee J. (nee Shinkarow), his children, Megan L. Sowders and Andrew M. Sowders, both of Atco. He is also survived by his beloved nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his sister Barbara Kelly, brother in law Thomas Kelly, and brother Joseph Sowders.
