The Mooney family owned and operated the Service Station at Chagrin Blvd. and I-275 forever. The Monney's were very close personal friends of our family. When my Mom and Dad got divorced in 1971 Mr. Mooney knew my Mom was going through a very difficult time and stuggling terribly emotionally. Mr. Mooney and Dennis especially helped to look out for our family during some very dark days. They are some of the most generous and caring people I have ever had the honor to know. I can never thank them enough for the compassion and support they gave us. God bless Michaele. Thoughts & Prayers, Bryan Casey '76
As her friends knew her in school was an amzingly bright and truly kind hearted person. She had a glimmer in her eyes and you always knew she was thinking about a million things , and had the answers before most questions were asked. A gentle person. I lost track of her after school..
I (yes I did) worked at Mooney's Gulf for a few summers and will always remember Mr. Mooney and Dennis, who were amazing in the business. The Mooney Family as Bryan stated was always there for anyone in need and helping those people. OMG, we had soo much fun those summers..These guys used to do front end alignments with broom sticks..and get them correct.
So Mickey, my hopes are that you've found happiness, beyond this earth, and know you were loved and admired by so many here on earth....God bless..
Just devastated to learn of Mickey's passing. I have searched the internet countless times over the years trying to find her and reconnect. She was my BFF while I was at Orange. I will always remember when she came to visit me when we had moved back to Columbus. We were on the I-270 outerbelt in my little MG Midget when a big semi started to cross the line into our lane. I don't know what the driver heard more...Mickey's scream or the horn of my little car but he pulled back into his lane and I floored that little car and got us out of harm's way. Rest in Peace my friend until we one day meet again.
